When I was shopping around for a 2013 planner, one of the brands I picked up was We Are What We Do, who are a non-profit who campaign for people to make small, positive changes to their lives. They make a range of stationery items. I will be reviewing their notebook at a later date, but I thought I’d show you the planner. The notebook is A6 size and comes in a range of colours.

As you can see, I have blue. It’s such a bright vibrant colour! The cover is a thick card, and has a waxy finish. The planner marker is a red ribbon. Perfunctory! The front of the planner is embossed with the text “Action diary 2013″. The back of the notebook has blurb about the notebook and a barcode. A bit intrusive, but never mind.

The notebook is made from FSC-certified paper, which means that it’s sustainably-sourced. It is, however, made in Singapore. There are good printing companies in the UK, Europe and the U.S, so there’s really no need to ship these products halfway round the world!

Unfortunately, because the planner cover is made of stiff card it bends really easily. This leads to the planner not staying closed! It also shows marks really easily.
The planner is arranged as a week to view with notes, with each “notes” page having an action suggestion for the week. For example, one week says to drink fairtrade tea (I already do so that was redundant!). All the actions are meant to be small, simple ones!

The paper in the planner is amazing. It’s so thick and smooth – it’s almost card! It takes pretty much any pen. It’s amazing! Seriously, even Sharpie works well on it (well, almost!).

This is the back of the above page, check out the almost non-existent show-through!

Isn’t it awesome?! This is the planner for fountain pen fans!
The whole planner is really good. I’m not sure it would look good after a year of being thrown in handbags, but other than that it’s a great design. If you need a new planner, and you don’t write much, this is possibly the planner for you!

Very interesting paper and economic pricing for the notebooks. Says it is 150gsm paper! Wow!
Thank you for bringing it to our attention
Love the look of these and it makes me wish bound notebooks worked for me. If they are selling these for 2014, I may get one as a ‘one line a day’ journal or something
I love how pretty the colours of them are too, and the contrasting page marker.
Also, on an unrelated note, I love your Link Tag Tuesdays! Don’t think I’ve told you that before, but I love them
x
Thanks, Angela
